G.D. Portbury Limited, operating as Sasol Gulf,
is wholly owned by Sasol Italy and is responsible
for the sales and marketing of olefins and
surfactant products produced by Sasol at its
facilities in Italy, South Africa and Germany. Our
products include commodity and speciality chemicals
such linear alkyl benzene (LAB) and fatty alcohols
as well as its derivatives. We also manufacture
linear alkyl sulfonic acid (LAS or SLES) through
sulphonation of LAB at our plant in Jebel Ali for
the detergent industry in our region.The region
supplied and served by us includes the
Indo-Pakistan subcontinent, Iran, Iraq, CIS, GCC,
Oman and East Africa.
Sasol Gulf has
implemented integrated quality management systems.
These apply to safety, health and environmental
processes as well as supply chain systems.
They have been certified
by SGS according to their Swiss standards for ISO
9001:2000, ISO 14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001:1999,
making Sasol in Dubai a member of a small group of
companies with triple certification in the UAE.
